On a beautiful, crisp Saturday in March, Larkspur Lodge played host to the wedding of Lucy Jones and Ben Thomas. Their day was full of thoughtful details and moments that truly spoke to their personalities. It was a day filled with laughter, love, and a wonderful, relaxed feeling from start to finish.
From the very beginning, Lucy and Ben wanted their wedding to feel warm and personal, a celebration of their love story shared with their nearest and dearest. The rustic charm of our venue, with its exposed brick and elegant touches, provided the perfect setting for their vision. As guests arrived, they were greeted by the gentle sound of a pianist, creating a calming and joyful atmosphere.
A Ceremony Filled with Meaning
The ceremony was a truly emotional and beautiful part of the day. Lucy made her entrance, escorted by her father, Kevin, down the aisle to live music provided by pianist Andrea.

The sight of her in her stunning dress, surrounded by six bridesmaids and two adorable flower girls, was a moment that brought a smile to everyone's face. The ceremony room was beautifully decorated with flowers from Knutsford Bloom, adding a touch of natural beauty to the already charming space.
Ben, along with his best man, waited in anticipation, and the genuine joy on his face as he saw Lucy was a truly special moment. The ceremony was a celebration of their promises to one another, with Andrea's music providing a perfect backdrop to the heartfelt words and vows.
After they were officially announced as Mr and Mrs Thomas, the happy couple and their guests stepped outside for a confetti shot on the lawn. The air was filled with cheers and the vibrant colours of confetti, a perfect start to their life as a married couple.

Drinks, Delights, and a Delicious Wedding Breakfast
Following the ceremony, the celebration continued with a drinks reception. Guests mingled, enjoyed the bar facilities, and soaked up the relaxed atmosphere of the day. The newlyweds stole away with their photographer, Melissa Hauge, to capture some beautiful moments, while their guests enjoyed the surroundings of Larkspur Lodge.
The wedding breakfast was a feast for the senses, served by the wonderful team at Fork and Field. The menu was delicious and was perfectly complemented by the elegant Edison bulb light-up bar from our own collection.
The room itself was a vision of romance, with decorations from Knutsford Bloom adorning the long tables and the sweetheart table for Lucy and Ben. The speeches were a highlight, with Lucy's father Kevin, the bridesmaids, Ben, and the best man Andy all sharing heartfelt words and funny stories, leaving everyone in stitches. The room was filled with happy tears and lots of laughter.
An Evening of Music and Dancing
As the evening began, the atmosphere shifted to one of pure celebration. The newlyweds cut their beautiful cake, a moment shared with their loved ones before the dancing began. The first dance was a truly magical moment, with Lucy and Ben swaying together, lost in their own world.
The evening entertainment was provided by a live band, who had everyone on the dance floor almost immediately after the first dance. The energy was infectious, with guests of all ages dancing the night away. The music played until late, with a DJ taking over after the band, ensuring the party continued with a lively feel.
Lucy and Ben’s wedding at Larkspur Lodge was a day that perfectly captured their essence as a couple, full of warmth, love, and a relaxed, happy vibe. Every detail, from the live music to the beautiful flowers, was a reflection of their journey together.
It was a beautiful start to their new chapter as husband and wife, and it was a real joy for us to be a part of their story.
