Emily and Mark's Wedding at Larkspur Lodge

There's something truly special about an autumn wedding, and Emily and Mark's celebration at Larkspur Lodge on Friday, 1st September 2023, was no exception. It was a day filled with warmth, love, and delightful personal touches, all set against the charming backdrop of our Knutsford venue.

Getting Ready for Forever

Emily, our lovely bride, prepared in the serene surroundings of our bridal prep room, which was available to her from 8 am. This dedicated space offers a calm and beautiful setting for those cherished pre-ceremony moments, making sure everything is perfect for the walk down the aisle.

Meanwhile, Mark, the groom, enjoyed his preparations at The Mere, a lovely spot nearby, before making his way to Larkspur Lodge. Guests were invited to arrive at 1:30 pm, making their way through our welcoming front porch and enjoying the bar facilities as they gathered.

As the clock ticked closer to the ceremony, the air buzzed with anticipation. At 1:45 pm, Larkspur Lodge announced the ceremony was about to begin, and at 1:55 pm, Emily was collected from the bridal preparation room, ready for her grand entrance. The gentle background music from Larkspur Lodge played, setting a relaxed and inviting tone for what was to come.

A Ceremony Filled with Love

They enjoyed a beautiful and intimate ceremony lasting approximately 30 minutes.

Emily was gracefully escorted down the aisle by her two fathers, Dad Peter and Dad Chris, a truly touching moment. They were joined by four lovely bridesmaids: Erin, Lauren, Sarah, and Mia.

To ensure everyone had a perfect view of the proceedings, reserved name cards were thoughtfully placed on seats for the bridal party and immediate family members.

The ceremony room was simply enchanting. Knutsford Bloom, with their wonderful eye for detail, provided the aisle decorations, adding a touch of floral elegance. The seating arrangement for the 86 guests consisted of five rows of two, using our classic White Cross Back Chairs, creating a lovely, open feel. The signing table was perfectly positioned at the end of the checkered flooring, ready for those all-important signatures.

Providing the perfect soundtrack to the ceremony and throughout the entire day was Jonny Ross Music, with their band Northern House. They performed from the right-hand side of the ceremony room, filling the space with their beautiful melodies, making sure to use a plug socket that didn't interrupt the delicate fairy lights adorning the ceiling.

Post-Ceremony Joys and Celebrations

Following the heartfelt ceremony, a delightful post-ceremony period of one hour and 30 minutes commenced.

Capturing every precious moment of Emily and Mark's special day was Linsey Ria Photography, who arrived at 11:30 am to begin documenting the day.

Adding a touch of playful fun to the afternoon was Mobile Crazy Golf!

A Feast and Heartfelt Toasts

As the afternoon unfolded, Larkspur Lodge began inviting guests to be seated for the wedding breakfast. Once everyone was settled, the grand announcement was made for the entrance of the new Mr and Mrs Quinn, to the cheerful sounds of 'Mr Blue Skies' by Electric Light Orchestra.

The delicious wedding breakfast, catered by Fork & Field. Before the meal, the speeches commenced, full of warmth and sentiment. Larkspur Lodge expertly announced the speeches, introducing the first speaker, with each speaker then introducing the next. A microphone was, of course, on hand for these important moments.

The first speakers were Emily's fathers, Chris and Peter, who delivered their heartfelt toasts. Jonny Ross Music continued to provide a wonderful soundtrack throughout the wedding breakfast, with Northern House performing, creating a lovely backdrop for the meal and conversation.

The wedding breakfast room was beautifully decorated, with Knutsford Bloom providing stunning table centrepieces. Our Larkspur Lodge Edison Bulb light-up bar was also in place, adding a touch of rustic charm.

Later in the evening, more heartfelt toasts took place. This time, Mark, the groom, and Gerard, the best man, shared their wonderful words, bringing more laughter and perhaps a few tears to the room.

Evening Festivities and Dancing

Larkspur Lodge guests made their way into the bar area. This allowed our team a full 45 minutes to transform the wedding breakfast room, getting it ready for the evening celebrations. Emily and Mark had chosen to keep their celebration intimate, with no additional evening guests joining.

The evening entertainment was truly something to look forward to. Northern House, the band from Jonny Ross Music, performed two fantastic sets, the first from 8 pm to 8:45 pm, and the second from 9:45 pm to 10:30 pm.

All musicians seamlessly plugged into our in-house PA system, and it's worth noting that acoustic drums are not permitted. All DJs and bands perform in the alcove area in the main dining room, ensuring a perfect set-up for the music.

For a sweet treat, Stephanie's Ice Cream Van arrived at 7 pm and was operational from 8 pm to 10 pm, offering a delightful addition to the evening festivities.

The first dance, a truly magical moment, was announced by the band at 8 pm, inviting Emily and Mark to take to the floor as husband and wife. It was a beautiful start to an evening of dancing and merriment.

Emily and Mark's day was truly brought to life by a team of fantastic suppliers.

Lindsey Ria Photography captured every beautiful memory. Mobile Crazy Golf, run by Maxine Wolfe, added a touch of playful fun. Stephanie Truffelli provided the delightful Ice Cream Van. Bridget from Knutsford Bloom created the stunning floral arrangements. And of course, Jonny Ross Music, with Katie from Northern House, provided the perfect soundtrack to the entire day.

Emily and Mark's wedding at Larkspur Lodge was a truly beautiful occasion, a testament to their love and the wonderful vision they had for their day. It was a joy to be a part of their story, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
